At the Christian Childcare Center, we believe that a high quality early childhood educational program should be a safe, nurturing environment that assists in the cognitive, emotional, physical, and spiritual development of young children. Our program is built upon solid research into how children learn, and the school system’s role in that process.
As we bridge the gap between home and school, we guide children towards a developing a healthy self-image, while also building social skills in a school setting. Based on the theory that children learn through play, classroom routines encourage active involvement and meaningful experimentation through hands-on activities. Schedules are designed to balance structure and free choice, as well as active and quiet times.
Our preschool program is for kids ages 2-5 years old (must be potty-trained), and our afterschool program is for kindergarten-6th grade. Our entrance is in the First Christian Church parking lot with a clearly marked sign on the building. For more information about CCC, or to sign up your child, please contact our children’s director. Meet Our Preschool Director
A Little About Me
Hello, CCCC Families!
I am thrilled to serve as the Preschool Director at Christian Childcare Center! With more than 25 years of experience in early childhood education, I have had the privilege of working alongside children, families, and educators throughout the Imperial Valley, including through First 5 Imperial, RCOE, ICOE, and VOA.
I studied Early Childhood Education at Imperial Valley College and later earned my master’s degree in early childhood education with an emphasis in Trauma-Informed Care from Pacific Oaks College. These experiences have strengthened my belief that children thrive when they feel safe, valued, connected, and encouraged to explore their world.
One of my greatest passions is creativity and imagination. My love for combining art and sustainability began with an “Intergalactic Recycled Robot” project and eventually inspired me to create recycled art experiences within my own community. I love discovering how something as simple as a cardboard box or recyclable material can become an opportunity for a child to imagine, create, and learn!
I am also a published children's book author. My book, Taco Takes a Trip, reflects my love of storytelling and adventure, and I am excited that the Spanish version is scheduled to be published by December 2026!
As Director, my goal is to create a school community where children can learn, create, explore, and grow, while families feel welcomed and our teachers feel supported and inspired.
At the heart of everything I do is a desire to inspire personal, emotional, spiritual, and community growth through creativity, connection, and meaningful experiences.
And, of course, childhood should always include a little fun!
